Following many years association with
Lodge of Dunblane No 9 (Scottish Constitution) it has become a tradition of the Peveril of the Peak Lodge that their newly installed Master attends the Installation Meeting of Lodge of Dunblane in late November each year, and the Master of Dunblane No 9 visits New Mills each year on a similar visit. The visits by our Scottish brethren are always colourful occasions, with several wearing traditional Scottish clothing and of course, their own distinctive regalia.

On a historical note, the first minutes of the Lodge of Dunblane are dated 28th January 1696!

Research into the history of Arkwright Lodge is now complete, and is contained in a booklet entitled 'A View of Masonry in the Matlocks'. Copies of this book are obtainable from the Arkwright Lodge Secretary, at a cost of £3.00.

The total proceeds of book sales were donated to the 2003 MTGB Festival.

This is a fascinating glimpse of the early days Of the Lodge and is well worth adding to your Masonic collection.
