These gifts have all been considered for
allocation and accepted in July.
Major grants:
 |
Marie Curie Nursing Service £10,000 in two
instalments of £5,000 to provide additional nursing care in Derbyshire. The
first instalment had been presented. |
 |
High Peak Hospice care, Chapel-en-le-Frith £21,000
to meet the capital cost of the lift in the new building. At the formal
presentation, the Provincial Grand Master, David Law, is opening the lift in
the company of the Founder of the Hospice and the
Chairman of the Trustees. |

Other grants:

£585 to the Chevin Ward Trust, Babington Hospital,
Belper to provide a "Tamar" chair. |

£150 to Hathersage Parish Church West Window Appeal,
to add to the £450 donated by Hope Valley,
Padley and
Longshaw Lodges |
 |
£80 to Derbyshire Childrens' Holiday Centre, to add
to the £120 donated by the Lodge of St. John |
 |
£100 to Littleover Grange Hall Community Association
(our next- door neighbours in Derby) towards their Flower and Vegetable Show |
 |
£100 to Toc H Childrens' Camp for holidays under
canvas for deprived children |
 |
£500 to Pear Tree Playscheme for children in an area
of high deprivation |
 |
£200 to Groundwork Erewash Valley to assist in
funding training courses for youth club volunteers |
The Music Foundation is giving two further donations of
up to £10,000 for the musical training of choristers at Derby Cathedral,
completing our total commitment of £40,000.
