The job of the
Provincial Almoner is to stimulate, train and help all 80 lodge Almoners in the Craft Province of Derbyshire.

The job of the Lodge Almoner is to ensure that the needs of all Lodge widows, sick, frail or financially distressed Brethren are determined and acted upon as quickly as possible.

The very nature of Freemasonry makes every member a potential Almoner, and certainly we all try to help in our own way. The Lodge Almoner should therefore be just a co-ordinator ensuring that we play our best role at the right time.

In the Province of Derbyshire every Lodge Almoner has a handbook setting out his duties and opportunities. It answers many questions, but more importantly, it gives him a contact for any kind of difficulty.

For your interest and possible help, the principle pages are:

bullet Introduction
bullet The Lodge Almoner
bullet Background support
bullet Masonic ladies
bullet Masonic charities
bullet Records

a) Brethren
  b) Widows
bullet Record example
bullet Action

a) Local
  b) Provincial
  c) Major charities
bullet Provincial application
bullet How to apply – and get results.

We all strive for the satisfaction of knowing that every deserving case has received adequate and speedy attention.

WE WILL ALL KEEP TRYING.
