Derby City General Hospital towards the purchase of equipment, to add to a sum
of £827 donated by the Lodge of St. John.

Polyclinic in Delhi, India to purchase equipment. |

£500 to Eaton Hill Therapeutic
Community. This was to be added to a similar grant made by
Beaureper Lodge for
equipment and amenities. |

£100 to the Summer Club, Buxton
to assist a club for disadvantaged and disabled children, and supported a
similar grant made by High Peak Lodge.

£200 to Derby Toc H Children's Camp for the purchase of equipment.

£439.49 to Derbyshire Housing Aid for the purchase of a television and
video player to assist in advising young people on homelessness issues.

It was also agreed to increase
the donations to the two nominated non-Masonic charities benefiting from the
proceeds of the 2001 Carol Service (The Duke's Barn and Derby Playhouse deaf
signing) from £750 to £1,000 each. |

The second instalment of £5,000 had also been made to Marie Curie Cancer
Care since the last meeting. |
Other News
Since the last meeting two pairs of applicants from
this Province have been accepted for the holiday in Bournemouth during July.
The latest sum raised for the 2003
Festival as at 18th
April was £969,000. A further minimum of £40,000 is anticipated from additional
interest before the date of the Festival in May 2003.
Further donations are also expected.
