Some have a coffee morning, some afternoon tea, some a luncheon. Coach trip visits, luncheons and dinners are arranged. Some help to run and fund their local Masonic Hall. They meet monthly, bi-monthly or when they feel like it. Regular meetings are held in Burton, Chesterfield, Derby, Dore, Matlock and Ripley. Other less formalised meetings are held from time to time. We do not solicit or expect donations but they are all aware of Masonic Charities and from time to time have made contributions. In many instances, where the existence of the local association has not been well publicised, widows have been sought and encouraged to take part with much success. Many Lodge Almoners have provided or arranged transport where this was required. Not surprisingly, bearing in mind the close relationships, very swift support has been given in cases of sudden distress. Liaison with the Almoners is very important. Generally, the Ladies are pleased with our liaison but two items need attention -
