Welcome to the Library site of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Derbyshire.
The library is still being fully catalogued, but the results of the work so
far can be searched
by subject/title, author or category.
There is also a new section for any on-line papers by Derbyshire Masons.
Click on the appropriate button on the left.
The function of the Library is to create, maintain and make available, books,
documents, artefacts and other items of interest to Masons. This is achieved by
a very active team of volunteers in a well equipped Library.
A fine collection of Books, Rituals, Certificates, Research Transactions,
Photographs and Lectures has been computer indexed for searching by keyword.
This provides a powerful source of information for Brethren to research
subjects, with assistance.
In the Display Cabinet outside the Library are jewels, glassware, pictures and
various antiques of Historical interest.
In the corridor to the Temples there is a Showcase for presenting miniature
displays. Lodges and individuals are invited to suggest a subject and
participate with the assistance of the Curator.
A carousel slide projector, lectern and screen are available on loan for
lectures. These are kept in the equipment room by the Lift. Slide show Lectures
are available in digital form for anyone wishing to give a lecture using their
own digital projector.
