In the 60 years existence of the Lodge, on the few occasions that a Candidate has not been available, lectures were substituted.

In 1968  "Progress in Masonry."

In 1969 five Brethren of Mentor Lodge, worked the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th sections of the First Degree.

In 1970 "Random Thoughts on the First Degree."

In 1972 three brethren of Mentor Lodge gave the three sections of the Second Lecture.

Also in 1972 the Librarian of the Nottinghamshire Province gave a paper entitled:"19th Century and Freemasonry."

In 1983 on the same night, three lectures were given by the following brethren:

 Past Prov. Grand Supt. of Works, Nottinghamshire: the First Tracing Board.

W. Bro. Shaw: An explanation of the Second Tracing Board

 

Past Prov. Grand Supt. of Works, West Riding: the Traditional History in the 3rd Degree. He joined the Lodge when he was 80 years of age, and the combined ages of the three was 235 years!

In 1995 the Past Prov. G-Registrar and a member of Unity Lodge, presented the First Degree Tracing Board.
